Overview
This 5-day adventure explores the remote and diverse landscapes of Northern Kenya. Starting from Nairobi, the journey traverses rugged terrain, leading to the unique Ngurunit rock slides and the shores of Lake Turkana, known as the Jade Sea. Participants will discover the historical Turkana Museum, experience the vast Chalbi Desert's salt pans, and explore the emerald forests and wildlife of Mt. Marsabit National Park, including Lake Paradise. The tour offers a blend of scenic drives, cultural insights, and opportunities for hiking and swimming in a truly untouched part of Kenya.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Depart Nairobi early morning. Enjoy washroom breaks and lunch along the way. Short photo session at Mt. Ololokwe. Arrive at Ngurunit camp, freshen up, and drive/walk to the famous Ngurunit rock slide for an afternoon swim (if water is present). Return to camp for dinner and stargazing.

Optional early morning hike at Kilabunyo Hill to catch the sunrise. After breakfast, depart for Loiyangalani via South Horr and the Lake Turkana wind station, with photo breaks at scenic locations. Arrive at the hotel in Loiyangalani for late lunch. Drive to Lake Turkana for an evening swim until sunset. Return to the hotel for dinner.

After breakfast, visit the Turkana museum for a bit of history. Drive towards North Horr, hugging the shoreline for a while and passing an oasis for a short walk. Arrive in North Horr for late lunch and a short rest. In the evening, drive to the sand dunes 10km outside town for walking, sliding, and enjoying the sunset. Return for dinner.

Early breakfast before departing across the Chalbi region, famous for its salt pans and flat landscapes, with a stop for photos. Return to tarmacked roads towards Marsabit town for a quick shower and lunch. Spend the afternoon inside Mt. Marsabit National Park, visiting Lake Paradise and enjoying the forest scenery and wildlife, including Grevy's Zebra. Enjoy a slow drive back to the hotel for dinner.

Early breakfast and check out for a long drive back to Nairobi. Stops for washroom breaks and potential wildlife spotting along the road from Marsabit to Samburu. Lunch will be had around Isiolo or Nanyuki (at your cost). Expect to return to Nairobi by evening.
